Dating to 1976, this 35mm automatic Seamaster combines a compact stainless steel case with a silver dial finished in a distinctive vertical brushed texture, often described as linen.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIt is the dial that gives this particular example much of its character. The fine vertical brushing catches the light differently as the watch moves, adding texture without making the dial feel busy. Applied baton markers with black inlay provide a little contrast, while the date at 3 o’clock adds everyday practicality without disturbing the balance of the design.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe proportions are equally characteristic of the period. At 35mm x 11mm, the case is compact by modern standards, but the integrated bracelet gives it considerably more presence on the wrist. Rather than looking like a separate component, the bracelet extends the lines of the case and reinforces the cohesive, distinctly 1970s feel of the watch.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eInside is Omega Cal. 1010, part of the brand’s 1000 series of compact automatic movements introduced during this period. Leather gives the linen dial a more traditional dress watch character, while a casual strap makes the same case feel considerably more relaxed. After almost five decades, it carries the honest signs of having been worn, but the case still retains strong lug bevels and its overall shape remains cohesive.
