WHY WE CURATED IT:
A brief stake in the ground by IWC, stepping outside its reputation for tool and pilot watches, to prove that they can do slim, elegant and dressy as well. Featuring a very fashionable C-case coming out of the 1960s but with the integrated bracelet aesthetic of the early 70s. The mesh bracelet is smooth and silky and doesn’t require cutting to resize. With a classic sunburst silver dial and stick indices and hands, it is elegant, versatile and understated. Running the legendary Cal. 403, a relatively modern vintage IWC movement, known for its thinness and robustness. One of the last in-house calibres before the brand switched to quartz and ETA bases through much of the 1970s quartz revolution. But all this aside, it’s hard to ignore just how classy this is on your wrist. We especially enjoy the shiny applied period IWC logo, underscored by the script logotype. As well as the polished dot minute markers, domed dial and curved hands. Serviced, warrantied and oh-so-exquisite!
