WHY WE CURATED IT:
Besides being a high-horology watch brand, Jaeger-LeCoultre is the most prolific and important movement manufacturer of all time; widely hailed as “The Watchmakers’ Watchmaker”. For over a century, JLC famously supplied movements to the likes of Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Cartier, IWC and Breguet, to name just a few. Here we have a largely undiscovered model with a lovely oval case and an intricate engraved “ribbon” bezel reminiscent of cake icing expertly piped by an artisanal pâtissier. The case is solid 925 sterling silver, with a frosty silver-grey dial akin to textured paper. An uncommon, shaped and ornate timepiece for any collection… simply stunning! Serviced and warrantied.
CONDITION:
9/10, with some light hairlines a little bit of silver patina but notably, without any pitting as is common with sterling silver cases of this age. Dial and markers are clean. Hands have some mild aging. Crystal has some microscopic marks visible only under magnification. Original crown. New aftermarket strap and buckle. Movement serviced and warrantied for 6 months, with above-spec power reserve, very strong amplitude, very low beat error and accurate to ±5secs/day averaged from 6 timegrapher positions.
