WHY WE CURATED IT:
Designed as an ode to the 1920s Art Deco era. Its name, meaning "Fine Art" in Italian, very much captures the spirit of this watch. That dramatic Tonneau "Curvex" case, shaped to hug the wrist for both comfort and to make a sculptural statement. The iconic Breguet numerals paired with an unusual ornate variation of Cathedral hands. And check out the geometric Art Deco treatment on the mid-case. A very long lug-to-lug suggests that this may be difficult to wear, and indeed it is best suited for wrists larger than 16cm, but the curved geometry essentially throws the numbers out the window. Even I can pull it off, as size-sensitive and fastidious as I am (my self-imposed limit is usually 47mm lug-to-lug). A bold statement piece with an architectural cuff-like presentation, with a juxtaposition of modern sizing and classical details. We dig it!
CONDITION:
9/10, with some shallow light hairlines but otherwise sharp and quite likely unpolished. Crystal, hands, indices and dial are clean. Original signed crown. New custom handmade strap with the original end inserts to guide the strap along the same arc as the case. Caseback etchings crisp and clear. Movement in excellent health and is quartz-accurate.
