WHY WE CURATED IT:
The De Ville line holds a special place in Omega history. Originally a sub-collection within Seamasters, it diverged into a standalone line by 1967, offering more refinement vs the brand’s increasingly sport-oriented catalogue. Over time, it even became the platform for many Omega firsts, such as their first co-axial escapement and first anti-magnetic central tourbillon. Within dressier De Villes, this is probably my favourite so far… an absolutely gorgeous, slim and elegant piece with a white lacquer dial, roman numerals and black leaf hands. Full of Patek Calatrava vibes without the Patek Calatrava price tag. In exceptional condition with a reliable and respected Cal. 625 movement, original Omega strap and buckle (plus new extra aftermarket ones), and Omega box. Serviced and warrantied. Classical watches like this never go out of style!
CONDITION:
9.5/10, with just minimal light hairlines. Likely never polished with sharp lines and hallmarks intact on the case sides. Crystal and hands pristine. Dial is super clean, but under magnification you might catch a glimpse of spidering on the lacquer surface indicating an original unreplaced dial that somehow survived over half a century untouched. Original signed crown. Original Omega strap and buckle (strap is worn but we’re including a brand new aftermarket replacement with its own buckle). Movement serviced with 6-month warranty, returning near-spec power reserve, high amplitude, negligible beat error and running ±5 secs/day averaged from 6 timegrapher positions.
