WHY WE CURATED IT: Genève models are some of the best value Omegas. Initially a flagship dress line in the 50s, Genèves took a backseat in the 60s as Speedmasters/Seamasters rose to fame. But Omega kept iterating and by the late 60s–70s, were experimenting with various shapes and formats, such as this hidden gem “integrated bracelet” model with hints of AP Royal Oak/IWC Ingenieur, but is clearly its own thing. The styling is monochromatic and no-nonsense with a hint of bling in that high-polish bezel to step away from being brutalist as some other similar Geneves tend to be. Equipped with a fairly modern automatic Cal. 1022, well-regarded as one of Omega’s last in-house movements from that era. Dripping with a very particular 70s zeitgeist charm and in one the best condition for this format we’ve ever found. Serviced and warrantied.
CONDITION: 9/10, with some shallow hairlines and micro-nicks but remarkable for a watch over half a century old. Case form completely intact, sharp edges throughout. Possibly unpolished. Vertically brushed silver-grey dial, hands and indices all pristine. Tritium lume plots intact and respond to UV correctly for age. Original signed crystal has some microscopic marks but no impediment to a clear view of the dial. Original signed crown. Original integrated bracelet excellent with minimal stretch. Movement serviced with 6 months warranty and in excellent health, with over-spec power reserve, high amplitude, low beat error and accurate to ±25 secs/day averaged from 6 timegrapher positions.
