WHY WE CURATED IT:
Increasingly popular series from Tiffany & Co., clearly inspired by Daniel Roth’s double-ellipse cases which debuted shortly prior. There is unconfirmed speculation that Roth may have been involved, given his relationship with Tiffany in the 80s when the latter was the sole American retailer for Roth-era Breguet. Whatever the link, these Mark Coupes iterate on Roth cases with their own details and multi-level finishing, as well as improved fit from curved casebacks, crystals, and prominently downturned lugs. Lovely wrist presence thanks to strong lugs and exquisite profile details that are architectural in their layering. On the wrist, feels dressy yet sporty, luxurious yet understated. This particular version is the smaller sized with a classical small seconds subdial. Comes with the original Tiffany strap and buckle. Condition is the best we’ve ever had for these models!
CONDITION:
9.5/10 with just very minor light hairlines, the best we’ve ever curated. Lines and finishing transitions remain sharp and appears to never have been polished. Crystal, dial and hands are pristine. Original signed crown. Caseback engravings remain deep and sharp. Movement in excellent health and quartz-accurate.
